Ephemeral
Even if you bloom with beauty today—
remember, petals wither.
Even if you tower with wealth and power—
remember, empires crumble to dust.
Even if you dress in silks and gold—
remember, the earth will claim you
wearing only what it gave you at birth.
In this world of borrowed time,
nothing is truly ours—
not the body, not the riches,
not even the air in our lungs.
All we have is now
the only currency
that can’t be lost,
only spent.
